We’re making progress with the blockwork, leaving gaps for the steel posts that still haven’t arrived.
It was warm today, so we had to keep the blocks wet to stop them drawing moisture out of the mortar before it had set.
We need three courses of blocks to bring us up to floor level. The concrete foundations came out two centimetres lower than planned, so we’ve been making up that difference in the mortar beds.
We’re pleased with how it’s going, particularly given our lack of construction experience.
