We’ve started moving the hardcore into place to prepare the sub-base for the floor slab. First, we laid a membrane intended to help stabilise the ground.
We won’t be able to compact the hardcore until the blockwork is complete. Before we can start that, we’re waiting for the structural engineer to provide some additional specifications for the walls.
The plans now include extra structural support in the form of steel posts known as windposts.
