We’ve started on the superstructure—the walls above damp course level. The first job was to fix the wall starter kit, which will tie the extension to the existing house.
We’ve already made some progress, and the wall insulation is due to arrive tomorrow.
Getting materials is proving a challenge. There’s a shortage of concrete blocks at the moment, so the builders’ merchant is rationing them. We’ve managed to get two pallet loads for now and hope to get some more next week.
